In these photographs I use the photographic technique of painting with light, shooting only at night. The photos are one shot only, set on long exposure, and have not been constructed in Photoshop.
My work with digital photography grew out of the computer and virtual reality. At first photos were printed on film transparencies and integrated with paint. The digital photograph itself eventually became comprehensive and self-sufficient — with its highly sensitive play of light, texture and surprise — for my concern with capturing the invisible becoming visible.
