I am investigating the dynamism of nature’s life cycles — both observed and imagined. The struggle between the survival of the environment and human tampering plagues me. In watercolor on paper, i show the complexity and density of nature and especially its fragility. I use the Tornado motif as a metaphor for uncontrolled forces. The intense detail of my renderings juxtaposes realism with more abstract elements. In this divergence, chance and controlled painting correlate with how one might see order confronting chaos within the ever-present cycle of mortality and regeneration.
