I am seeking to develop a visual language that speaks for the unspoken, visceral, perceived, and spiritual knowing which we all latently possess. For me, art,” making marks,” is a product of faith, study, and daily practice. I admit to a drive towards perfection and a need for interaction. I am enchanted by an insatiable desire to create; to translate into aesthetic language the literal text of the conscious, cognitive, and linear world of my culture. I know that I am working well when I can be both mindful and can also “let go.” My work has been described as linear, layered and gives the appearance of breathing veils of color.
